Richardson DNA Results
This page is simply the initial index to the sample kits for which we have reported results.  The table
shown below, identifies the earliest known Richardson ancestor for each
of our earliest participants.

I have color coded each of the e
ight Family groups identified thus far.  Please note that kit numbers for
all matching results within an identified Family group is highlighted with the same color.

These colors correspond with those found in the database chart.  If you click on the "thumbnail" chart
shown abo
ve, it will open in a new window.  It is too large to fix into this page.  Opening in a new
window will allow you the opportunity to compare the table with the chart.

Note 1
Benjamin Richardson married Sarah Mizell, daughter of Luke Mizell, in North
Carolina.  He departed this life in 1799 while resident in Bulloch County, GA.
His brother, Hardy Richardson, rendered service in the Revolutionary War
while resident in Georgia.  Hardy Richardson (1768-1809) married Frances
"Fanny" Mizell and departed this life a resident of Bulloch County, GA.

Theere are multiple entries for many members of the family in the "Passports
of Georgia" recording their removal from Georgia to Louisiana and Mississippi.
I noted on the passport record of John Richardson who married Nancy
Albritton, that Benjamin Richardson, a Court Justice, wrote a letter of
recommendation vouching for his character and reputation.
Note 2
John Richardson b. 1655, son of Thomas Richardson b. 1633, married
Elizabeth and is the immigrant ancestor.   His son, John Richardson 1673/4 -
1698/9  (the elder) married Mary DuBois, daughter of Isaac DuBois of Ulster
County, NY.  They removed to Virginia.

John Richardson, son of John Richardson "the elder," was born about 1699
and died in Orange County, SC in 1781.  In 1729, he married in Orangeburg,
S.C., the beautiful  Amarenthia Smith, daughter of Thomas II and Sabana.  At
the time of his marriage to Amarenthia Smith, John had a home and
warehouses in St. Augustine, FL.  South Carolina Newspaper notices record
both his marriage and travels.  The last will and testament of George Seaman,
published 1769 at Page 287 in Charleston District, SC Will Book RR
1767-1771,
devises a legacy to Amarenthia Smith, wife of John Richardson,
of East Florida.

Two grandsons of John Richardson, Francis "Frank" Richardson m. Martha
Gaulden and Henry Richardson m. Elizabeth (nee ?), settled in Wilkinson
County, MS 1810-1815.  Both Frank and Henry are sons of RWS Arthur
Richardson and Hanna Mitchell (RWS pension record reflects he married Mrs.
Hannah Mitchel ).
